The legal system is a scary place. Having to face it alone, when you are already going through a difficult time in life can be overwhelming. Perhaps you are in a marriage that no longer works. Maybe you are raising a child alone and need the financial assistance you deserve from the other parent. Or now you find yourself disabled or injured after working hard all your life. You are tired and frustrated and not sure what to do. You have rights and you need a voice. My goal is to be that voice. My practice centers on helping you find a new future. I am dedicated to defending your rights, while helping you understand the process and the possible implications for your future. Hopefully along the way, the legal process will become a little less frightening and you will feel more confident as start a new season in your life.

After attending Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, I worked as a sales representative for almost ten years before starting my own marketing business. Since I was a child, I have always been interested in the law and became a paralegal. After more than ten years working for other attorneys, I was encouraged to become a lawyer myself. I worked full time, attended Birmingham School of Law at night and graduated in the Top Ten of my class. My parents instilled in me a strong work ethic that I apply to helping each of my clients.

Admitted to practice in the State of Alabama, as well as the United States District Court in the Northern District of Alabama, my practice includes all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody and juvenile matters, disability matters, criminal defense, and civil litigation. I am a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Bar Association.
